The lesson will be orchestrated by local surf schools, Donegal Adventure Centre, Turf n Surf, Bundoran Surf Companyand Surf World surf shop. Participants are asked to fill out sponsorship cards to raise money for the Niall Mellon Township Trust in advance. Sponsorship cards are available from any of the above surf schools, see the contact page for more details The Niall Mellon Township Trust was established in 2002,
and the aim of the trust is to provide homes for those living in dire
conditions
in South Africa. Each year, hundreds of Irish volunteers go to South
Africa and participate in a ‘building blitz’. In 2008, Carol
and Seamus Fallon from Bundoran, Co. Donegal will travel to South Africa
as part of this project. Monies raised by the Tullan for the Township
event will help them raise the minimum 5,000 euro each they are required
to raise. This will be Seamus’s third year volunteering, and Carol’s
second. They are gladly supported in their efforts by Bundoran, and Donegal,
and we encourage you to join in this support. |
